Efficient Robotic Simulation for Flexible Structures

Digital-Twin
HeroSimulate generates a faithful replica of the physical robot, a real-time model to be controlled. This model can be visualized in the ROS environment or in the Unity environment thanks to the HeroVR package. The generated model represents a 1:1 virtual copy of the robot to be controlled both kinematically and dynamically considering also elastic and oscillatory behaviors. The virtual model can be used in both control and analysis. In detail, the virtual replica of the system can be used to test control algorithms in simulation before final testing on the real robot.

HeroSimulate can also be used in real-time teleoperation mode to give
the operator additional information such as:
- Distance to joint limits
- Distance to obstacles while also considering robot deformation
- Manipulability and dexterity indices.

- Residual oscillations
